Mysore
Ashtanga Yoga is the method of teaching, learning and practicing this yoga system as done by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, India. Students of all levels, from the complete beginner to the highly advanced practitioner, receive one-on-one guidance from the instructors while learning and practicing the Ashtanga sequence. Each student’s practice is individually tailored according to personal needs and capacity, and therefore differs in both duration and level. When properly done, this method purifies and strengthens the body while settling and focusing the mind.
