KAREN DUBI, ERYT-500, RD
“When I first began taking yoga classes, it was based strictly on physical flexibility and strength training.
I committed to a daily practice, and over time my interest in yoga deepened. I had no idea the magnitude
of what I was embarking on, but I trusted that it would be a transforming journey. Thereafter, I enrolled at
The Yoga Teacher Training Institute, Long Island, where I pursued advanced studies in yoga. I continued
learning over the course of the past decade with many renowned teachers in many styles of yoga and
focused my studies in the tradition of Ashtanga Yoga.
I completed a 3 year formal teacher training course with senior teachers of Krishnamacharya Healing and
Yoga Foundation. This approach to yoga enables me to utilize an integrative approach with a wide range
of yoga tools to enhance individuals’ well-being & maintain or restore health. Some of these tools include
physical postures, breath regulation, meditation, chanting/mantra, visualization and self inquiry. This
method of teaching ensures a safe environment that honors the classic traditions of yoga while making
them relevant and applicable to today’s modern times.
Currently, I continue my studies of yoga philosophy, yoga sutra, vedic chanting, and ayurveda.
My learning interests inspire my own personal growth and development as well as enhance my
commitment to teach beginner and well accomplished students of yoga.”
Karen holds three degrees, including Psychology, Biology, and Nutrition. She is a Registered Dietitian
and a Counselor of Holistic Nutrition Therapy, which enhances her yoga teaching and compassion for
students physically, mentally, and emotionally. Her research and studies allow her to combine the use
of scientific devices and energy healing to offer a complete and harmonious approach towards optimum
health.

DANIELLE TARANTOLA, YOGA THERAPY
Danielle Tarantola, director of The Yoga Foundation, is a teacher certified by the Krishnamacharya Healing and Yoga Foundation. She also trains teachers and offers Yoga Therapy . Through continued, extensive training in India and across the US with the Desikachar family, she labors to ensure that yoga’s profound wisdom comes through clearly, simply, and with total relevancy for our modern times and conditions.
Yoga Therapy involves a process of adapting yoga very specifically to the various needs of an individual over time. This uniquely ancient and therapeutic approach is for people, including those who assume they can’t ‘do yoga,’ in all stages of wellness. Yoga Therapy can address a broad range of physical, mental, and emotional concerns. Your personal goals can be approached through this process, so please consider what you are seeking prior to your first consultation. Following the consultation, your teacher will design an appropriate practice, which you will be asked to do at home on a regular basis. After a series of weekly visits, the duration of time between appointments will reduce, until you may be seen once monthly, or even every other month for practice refinement.
